Studious Personality Trait

These Sims are naturally focused on learning. They complete homework and university papers faster, read and write more quickly, and help other Sims with their homework more effectively. They tend to enjoy being engaged in academic work, but going too long without intellectual stimulation starts to wear on them.

What It Does

• Faster progress when learning academic and mental skills
• Faster homework, school projects, university term papers, and reading
• Better performance in school and in careers that reward analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Less likely to experience Writer’s Block
• More effective at helping other Sims with their homework

Scholarly Drive

Studious Sims have a special motive called Scholarly Drive. It fills when they read, study, research, write, or do homework, and slowly drains over time (it pauses while they sleep).

When Scholarly Drive gets too low, they become increasingly Bored:

• Mental Drift
• Mental Slump
• Mental Stagnation

These moodlets also make them more inclined to seek out books, homework, and other intellectual activities again.

• Professional Focus — While at work (or school) in a compatible scholarly career
